This is a brief philosophical discussion through the medium of both film and photographs. Traditionally, in climbing a “first ascent” means the first time a particular route has been climbed. But, of course, when an individual climbs it for the first time, for that person it is a First Ascent. Does it really matter that somebody else did it first?
