I am currently working on a script that revolves around a game of chess. (No spoilers today!) I have done a few of test shots, with and without actresses. But I am still not happy. So I feel I am, to some extent, needing to go back to the drawing board. What does that mean? Probably
- Extend the list of short and long films with a “key component” of chess (with YouTube screenshots)
- Do more research on diverse component, including but not restricted to history
- Look more carefully at the design of the chess board and pieces, possibly making my own.
- Create a theoretical list of potential shots.
If I can manage all those, then perhaps I could think about a shot list.
